We are pipelining candidates for a future role Contingent upon Contract Award Valiant is seeking an Electronics Technician Maintenance II for W-TRSPotential locations could include:
California, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Washington, Korea and potential additional CONUS locationsThe Electrician repairs, tests, and maintains electrical equipment, machinery, and systems such as generators, alternators, motors, and intercommunication systems, makes inspection rounds of electrical equipment and maintains records and schedules of tasks and inspectionsThe Electronic Technician may maintain, repair, troubleshoot, modify and install various types of electronic equipment and related devices such as electronic transmitting and receiving equipmentEssential job duties include but are not limited to:
o Applies basic and some advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems that typically cannot be solved solely be referencing manufacturers' manuals or similar documents including determining the location and density of circuitry, evaluating electromagnetic radiation, isolating malfunctions, and incorporating engineeringo Requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence, in selecting tools, testing instruments, and is reviewed for compliance with accepted practiceso Works under close supervision receiving technical guidance from supervisor or higher-level technicianWork is checked frequently for accuracyo Maintains, repairs, and installs various types of electronic equipment and related devices such as electronic transmitting and receiving equipment (e.
g.
, radar, radio, telecommunication, sonar, and navigational aids); micro and mainframe computers and terminals; and industrial measuring, controlling equipment, and industrial calibration deviceso Applies technical knowledge of electronics principles in determining malfunctions and applies skill in restoring equipment operationsMinimum
Qualifications:
o Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance(Note:
US Citizenship is required to maintain a Secret Clearance.
) o Education/
Experience:
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)o 5-10 years of job-related experience o Thorough knowledge of technical publications related to electronics maintenance mandatoryo Must have knowledge of the scopes and limitations of various categories of electronic maintenance (related maintenance functions) and their applications to the contract unito Must know theory and principles of operation of engines, accessories and components, theory of electronic controls, and have a thorough knowledge of electrical and electronic principleso Must be capable of using and reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, and data tableso Must be able to inspect, repair, and operate ground support and auxiliary equipmentPreferred
Qualifications:
o Previous experience as an Electronics Technician Maintenance II or III in the U.
