National Guard Membership is Required : This is an excepted position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the South Carolina AirNational Guard. _DUTIES:_
This position is located in the Medical Group at an Air National Guard Wing. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the full-time Health Systems Specialist for the installation, geographically separated units (GSU(s), and tenant units, with responsibility for managing all medical administrative functions including medical support, medical operations, force health management and related medical applications. It has direct supervision over the Health Technician(s) and the Public Health Technician (s). In order to be placed in this position and meet the assigned grade, supervisory work and related managerial responsibilities must constitute a major duty occupying 25% or more of the incumbents' time.
_QUALIFICATIONS:_
_Minimum Requirements:_ Experience in administrative or technical work which demonstrates the applicant''s knowledge of missions, originations, programs, and requirements of helath care delivery systems; ability to analyze problems and present both oral and written recommendations taking into consideration the wide range of factors and requirements which affect the managment of the health care delivery system.
_Specialized Experience: GS-10:_ Must have 30 months experience, education, or training which provided:
1. Experience and a working knowledge of the missions, organizations, programs and requirements of the health care delivery systems.
2. Experience analyzing and recommending solutions to complicated problems.
3. Experience developing and implementingvarious policies and procedures used in the state medical programs.
4. Experience involving various administrative areas such as budget, personnel and public relations within a medicall activity.
_Supervisory positions require:_ Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Also Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.

Undergraduate and Graduate Education:
Major study-hospital administration, public health admnistration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care adminstration .
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Employees selected for full-time positions that require mandatory training at the National Guard Professional Education Center (NGPEC) will have 12 months from the date of hire to complete the required course(s). Failure to complete NGB prescribed courses at NGPEC for new personnel within the first year of employment may be cause for reassignment or termination.
Enlisted Cash Bonuses: Acceptance of a technician position may affect any bonus and/or educational assistance that may be applicable. Your bonus may be terminated and repayment may be required.
Permanent Change of Station (PCS) cost is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the interst of the Government.

Employees selected for positions that require Information Assurance (IA) Training and Certification will have 6 months from the date of hire to satisfactorily complete the appropriate training and obtain the required certification/recertification for the position as outlined in DoD Publication 8570.01-M Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program, dated 19 December 2005 (incorporating Change 1, 15 May 2008). Failure to complete the training and certification may be cause for reassignment or termination.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
