National Guard Membership is Required : This is an excepted position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the South Carolina AirNational Guard. DUTIES:
This position is located in the Aerospace Ground Equipment Section at ANG Flying Activities andmission support units. The primary purpose of this position is to accomplish maintenance on electronically controlledpowered support equipment containing highly complex digital devices and integrated circuits.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirement:
Experience or training which demonstrates the knowledge of mechanical maintenanc work; ability to read and use technical manuals, illustrations, diagrams and schematics and skill in the use of equipment and hand tools used in troubleshooting, testing, and repairing equipment.
Meeting the months of experience requirement will not by itself be accepted as proof of qualification. Quality, type, and scope of experience, training or education must be demonstrated to show that the applicant is fully qualified to perform duties at the grade level announced.
Specialized
Experience: You MUST have 18 months experience in EACH of the following KSAs:
Experience in repairing, rebuilding, and overhauling systems and major components of powered support systems.
Experience in diagnosing malfunctions and determining remedy where complex relationships exist among different powered support systems, requiring knowledge of systems with possible damage to equipment if incorrectly handled.
Experience in making mechanical repairs that required the use of precision measuring equipment, common hand-tools, and test equipment such as wrenches, screwdrivers, flow meter panels, oscilloscopes, etc.
Experience in using complex diagnostic and testing equipment such as multi-meters, turbine engine and analyzers, leak detectors, ohmmeters, dynameters and load banks.
Experience which demonstrates the ability to interpret technical manuals, specifications, publications, and blueprints
_OTHER REQUIREMENTS:_
Employees selected for full-time positions that require mandatory training at the National Guard Professional Education Center (NGPEC) will have 12 months from the date of hire to complete the required course(s). Failure to complete NGB prescribed courses at NGPEC for new personnel within the first year of employment may be cause for reassignment or termination.
Enlisted Cash Bonuses: Acceptance of a technician position may affect any bonus and/or educational assistance that may be applicable. Your bonus may be terminated and repayment may be required.
Permanent Change of Station (PCS) cost is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the interest of the Government.

Employees selected for positions that require Information Assurance (IA) Training and Certification will have 6 months from the date of hire to satisfactorily complete the appropriate training and obtain the required certification/recertification for the position as outlined in DoD Publication 8570.01-M Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program, dated 19 December 2005 (incorporating Change 1, 15 May 2008). Failure to complete the training and certification may be cause for reassignment or termination.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
