This position is located in the Joint Forces Headquarters-State, Logistics Directorate (J-4), Surface Maintenance Facility. The purpose of this position is to perform maintenance, repair, and inspection on a full range of small arms and related devices. THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION OPEN TO THE FOLLOWING AREA OF CONSIDERATION (AOC):

Any individual eligible for membership in the South Carolina Army National Guard Note- Priority consideration will be given to Area 1. Temporary and Indefinite employees do not meet permanent tenure requirements and are not eligible for Area 1. MILITARY REQUIREMENTS:
Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. 91, 92Y, 92Z, 920A, 920B Military Requirements- Military skill set is determined by AFSC/MOS requirements. Upon selection, individuals must be assigned to a compatible military AFSC/MOS in accordance with statutes and National Guard Bureau regulations and must obtain/maintain all requirements of the AFSC/MOS. references listed below, NGB Compatibility tables and your local Personnel section. GENERAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Experience or training which demonstrates a working knowledge to read and interpret instructions, repair manual, specifications and drawings; must have a knowledge of shop mathematics sufficient to use testing devices and measuring instruments; and be proficient in the use and maintenance of hand tools and equipment. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
To qualify for this position your resume must definitively show that you have 12 months experience in the following criteria:
Experience or training which demonstrates ability to work effectively and efficiently on weapons and mechanical systems in disassembly for repair, inspection to diagnose mechanical malfunctioning, wear and/or damage is required. Experience in adjustment of levers, gear linkages and synchronization of interrelated mechanical systems. Experience in applying technical manuals, regulations, specifications and drawings to determine operation, assembly and a tolerance of the variety of weapons cleaned, repaired and modified, is required. Experience in using and maintaining a variety of hand and power tools and gages is required. Tools include drills, files, saws, hammers, vises and precision gages and measuring instruments such as micrometers, optical comparators, ultrasonic checkers, magnafluxing machines and/or borescopes to determine when parts are worn or damaged beyond acceptable tolerances.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
