PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (AIRCRAFT) -TITLE 5
This position is located in the Job Control Section of the Maintenance Control Branch. The purpose of this position is to provide planning, scheduling and control of aircraft maintenance through a variety of support maintenance shops. This is a National Guard Title 5 Excepted Service position under the authority of Title V, P.L. 114-328, Sections 932 and 1084 (FY17 NDAA). This position is open to Areas of Consideration (AOC) 1-2 Only. Priority will be given to AOC 1. AOC DEFINITIONS:
Area 1:
All permanent On-Board Title 5 Technicians employed with the South Carolina Air/Army National Guard Technician Program.(Temporary and Indefinite employees do not meet permanent tenure requirements and will not qualify for this AOC). Area 2:
All permanent On-Board Title 32 Dual Status Technicians employed with the South Carolina Air/Army National Guard Technician Program. (Temporary and Indefinite employees do not meet permanent tenure requirements and will not qualify for this AOC). Area 3:
All eligible US Citizens, Federal Employees (including Temporary/Indefinite), Air National Guard Drill Status Guardsmen (DSG), Army National Guard (M-Day) Soldiers, Veterans. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Experience, education or training which indicates the candidate can reason in quantitative terms, communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner, understanding the terminology and data pertaining to repair operations and process characteristics of the production activity. SPECIALIZED
Experience:
To be rated qualified for this position your resume must show definitively at least 24 months experience in the following- Experience preparing job or work orders; scheduling various phases of projects into the production facility; following up to see if work is progressing as planned and arranging for adjustments in materials, machine processes, and work sequencing allowing for changes. Experience with current automation support programs to input data, provide status of equipment, and monitor job order status, monitor work priorities, requisition repair parts, track repair parts status, etc.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
